Confusion, I Tell Ya!

I had my weigh in today.

I gained a pound.

Three one-hour Zumba classes.  One very hard full-body weight training session.  Semi-healthy eating (there was one very small serving of french fries and a cupcake this week).

My body ACHES from soreness.  I needed a boost.

I needed to at least lose something ... ANYTHING!

I'm not putting my stats because I'm mad. So there.

I have to remember this.

Let's get it this week! This set back will not make me stop.

I've come to far.  Just getting to the gym 4 times in a week is HUGE for me.  Now, I'll just work harder.

I can do this.

{Semi-motivational whiny rant is over.}

Frosty Glo Cakes My Way + Weigh In

I found this really great recipe on Pinterest (surprise!).  It is from a blog called Oh She Glows - the same blog that first inspired me to try a Green Monster!

I made lots of changes to the recipe to suit my (and my toddler's) taste.  You can tell from the picture above that he loved them - they turned out super great!

Frosty Glo Cakes, Jessica's Way:
2 mashed bananas
1 cup of oats
1 cup crunchy cereal (I used The Fresh Market's Live Crunchy Cereal)
2 tbsp. cocoa (I used extra dark)
2 tbsp. wheat germ
1 tbsp agave syrup
1 tbsp molasses
1 drizzle of honey
2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp natural peanut butter (I use JIF)
Method:
Mix all the wet ingredients in a bowl, then add in the dry ingredients.  Stir until completely combined.  Line a cupcake pan with 12 cupcake papers.  Drop by the heaping tablespoon full in to each cupcake well.  Press the mixture into the bottom, until it feels firm (it will fill up about half the cupcake well).  Pop the pan in the freezer for at least an hour.  Enjoy!

Most people would eat normally - not my Paulie!  It was pretty funny to watch him eat this.  =)

The glo cakes feel like a special treat, but they really are pretty healthy for you.  They are really filling, too!  I am pretty pumped to have one for breakfast tomorrow.

This morning, I had my usual Sunday weigh-in.  I lost 1.5 pounds (since Wednesday)!

Here are the stats:

Weigh-In Day

I only lost .5 today.  Ah, oh well.

Josh says that it is better than gaining - he is right.  I know I didn't eat my best, and I only exercised one time, so, really, I should be glad I lost anything!

Here I am

This is the only picture I got that had my whole body - those are my new size 14 jeans! Paul is giving me loves, he is the sweetest little boy ever. <3

Here are the stats:
Week 1: 218.8
Week 2: 216
Week 3: 213.1
Week 4: 211.1
Week 5: 210.9
Week 6: Skipped
Week 7: 208 - 10% goal at 210.5
Week 8: 208.7 - GAIN

Week 9: 206.5

Week 10: 206
Total Loss Since December 2010: 28 pounds

I really do need to exercise more.  I know I say this every time.  I wish there was exercise I enjoy.

I guess I just don't like doing things where I sweat and feel weak - my brain attacks me.  I still can't do Jillian's stinkin' push-ups.

I hate push-ups.

I dread that 20 minute workout so much.

{ Sigh }  Buck Up!  Nothing worth having is easy.   I will do this better.

Super Crazy Week and a Weigh-In!

Oh my goodness, guys!  The past 5 days have been non-stop work craziness - I have not had a single minute to myself for rest, nevermind update you all!

Sweet For Sirten (my cake business) had two weddings on Saturday and a consultation Sunday morning + my "normal job"+ a toddler (when my mom didn't keep him Friday / Saturday, thanks mom!) + the hubby working nearly 80 hours last week = CRAZY!

I did do pretty well on my exercise routine up until Wednesday when the craziness started.  I got 15 activity points this week.  Compared to my usual 0, I'm pretty proud of that. =)

I did have my (super fast) weigh-in on Sunday, at my mom's house (not on my usual Wii fit scale).  Here are the stats:
Week 1: 218.8
Week 2: 216
Week 3: 213.1
Week 4: 211.1
Week 5: 210.9
Week 6: Skipped
Week 7: 208 - 10% goal at 210.5
Week 8: 208.7 - GAIN

Week 9: 206.5
Total Loss Since December 2010: 27.5 pounds

I have to admit, it feels pretty cool to be the thinnest I have been (for more than a couple weeks) in 6 years! I feel the size 14 jeans calling my name!

This week should be much calmer, so hopefully I can share some recipes soon!
